The artist

Abelina Carissima was born in Vienna and studied the art of stone sculpture at the international summer academy Salzburg. Her works look to unify the elements of water, air and stone and depict body- and face fragments, communicating and interacting with these elements. Many of her works seem to be breathing calmly or to be gliding under a watery surface. They most often display very still and enchanted states of human exhaustion.
